MAMC- About College, Courses, Fees, Ranking and Admission.

About:
Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is a medical college in New Delhi, India, which is affiliated to University of Delhi and is run by the Delhi government. It is named after Indian freedom fighter and first education minister of independent India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It was established in 1956 at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near Delhi Gate.

Hospital:  There are four hospitals (Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, GB Pant Hospital, Guru Nanak Eye Centre, and Sushruta Trauma Centre) attached to MAMC, which together have a combined bed strength of 2800 beds and cater to millions of patients in Delhi alone and many more from the surrounding states in north India.

Courses:
The college is a tertiary care referral centre and has teaching programs for graduate and postgraduate degrees and residency and subspecialities/fellowships (referred to as superspecialities in India).
The medical college offers MBBS and MD and MS degrees and postgraduate residency courses for super-speciality / sub-specialty fellowship degrees of MCh and DM. Institutes offering degrees in nursing and pharmacy are also attached to the college.
It has 250 MBBS seats.

Annual tuition fees (for MBBS): Approximately Rs. 2500- 3000
Examination fees: Rs. 1000- 1500 per exam.
Mess fees: Rs. 2000 per month
Hostel fees: Rs. 1000- 1500 yearly

Ranking (for MBBS): 4th best medical college in India. It is the first choice of NEET Toppers.

Admission to MBBS Course:

Admissions are done on the basis of score obtained in NEET. After declaration of your NEET-UG results you will have apply for counselling of either State quota seats or All India quota seats or Both. From 2018 onwards, both these quota seats are filled through single counselling, conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).

These two quota seats for admissions have following seat distribution and cutoff scores (for General category students):
1. All India Quota: 38 seats and cutoff for general category students is more than 675/720.
2. Delhi State Quota: 208 seats and cutoff for general category students is more than 610/720.

So you can see that MAMC is the topmost choice of all the NEET-UG Examination Toppers. So work hard and get selected to MAMC Delhi.

Know about AIIMS MBBS 2018 Cut-off ranks for each AIIMS.


All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi conducts an entrance test for MBBS admissions to the nine existing AIIMS in India. AIIMS-UG is considered to be the toughest medical entrance in India.

AIIMS-UG 2018 was conducted on 27th and 28th May 2018 in four shifts. Results were declared on 18th May 2018, with a merit list of qualified students. AIIMS Counselling started from 27th June.

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Counselling is now over. You should know the cutoffs for making a specific aim for your own attempt.

Number of AIIMS and JIPMER colleges in India.


All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has nine colleges:
  1. AIIMS New Delhi (107 seats; own campus; Established 1956)
  2. AIIMS Jodhpur (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  3. AIIMS Bhopal (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  4. AIIMS Bhubaneswar (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  5. AIIMS Rishikesh (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  6. AIIMS Patna (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  7. AIIMS Raipur (100 seats; own campus; Established 2012)
  8. AIIMS Guntur (50 seats; temporary campus; started 2018)
  9. AIIMS Nagpur (50 seats; temporary campus; started 2018)
Apart from above nine colleges; AIIMS Raebareli (OPD started on 13th August 2018), AIIMS Gorakhpur and AIIMS Kalyani may start admitting students in its MBBS program from 2020.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has two colleges:
  1. JIPMER Puducherry (150 seats; Established 1823)
  2. JIPMER Karaikal (50 seats; Established 2016).
These were the AIIMS and JIPMER colleges in India.

If we talk about special features of AIIMS, then we talk mostly of AIIMS Delhi because other AIIMS are now not much developed. So they are not in a condition to be compared with other big colleges. This college recieves largest research funds from the government in India. The teaching is research oriented. AIIMS Delhi has most number of published and patented research papers among all the medical colleges in India.

Students at AIIMS Delhi, get many chances to do their internships, research and other training in many reputed medical colleges in the world, like John Hopkins University, Harward University, in medical colleges of Israel,etc.

●Annual fest
The annual fest of AIIMS is Pulse. It is the largest annual college fest of India. It continues for a week and involves participation of students from all over India. Many famous people like singers, actors,etc. are guests in Pulse.

Due to above listed qualities, it has become a very popular name among the people, not only in India, but in other countries too. And hence AIIMS students and Doctors become a highly popular personality in their locality.
This feature of popularity is also a major feature behind more students dreaming for AIIMS.

AIIMS Delhi is the best medical college in India. It was established in 1956. Since its establishment it received all support from Government of India for its infrastructure development and research facilities. As a result, good doctors were attracted towards its facilities and research fundings and a competition arise between doctors to work in this institute, as a result best doctors from India were recruited and they did many researches and their achievements made AIIMS a globally recognised institute and more number of patients began to come for their treatment, making it one of the busiest hospitals of India.

AIIMS Delhi- About college, courses, fees, ranking and admission.

About:
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi(AIIMS Delhi) is a medical college and medical research public university based in New Delhi, India. AIIMS was established in 1956 and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

AIIMS is located in Ansari Nagar in Delhi. It is adjacent to the South Extension-II market, and lies on the south-eastern quadrant of Aurbindo Marg and Inner Ring Road crossing. Across AIIMS is Safdarjung Hospital and associated Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University). Also, adjacently lies the headquarters of Indian Council of Medical Research, the body that coordinates and funds medical research in India. In vicinity, also lies National Medical Library, run by the Directorate-General of Health Services of the Government of India. It has a vast collection of scientific and medical journals that can be accessed by researchers.

Residential facilities:

AIIMS is a residential university where the faculty members, staff, and students live on either the main campus or one of the several extension campuses. At undergraduate level there is accommodation for total 400 students in 7 hostels, 6 male (Hostels No.1-6) and one female hostel (Hostel 10). At post-graduate level there are 3 hostels, 1 hostel for female students (Hostel No.9) and 2 hostels for single male or married couples (Hostels No.7-8). Additional hostels for nursing students and post-graduate students are available at a facility in the Masjid Moth area, near the main AIIMS campus. Ballabgarh campus has hostels at Ballabgarh, Dayalpur and Chainsa for MBBS, MD, and nursing students deputed there.

Ranking:
Since 12 years, it has been consecutively ranked 1st among all the medical colleges in this country.

Courses:
It runs UG, PG, Post PG and PhD courses in medicine and surgery.
MBBS is of four and half years with one year of compulsory rural internship.
It has 107 MBBS seats- 100 for Indians and 7 for foreign nationals.

Fees (for MBBS):
Annual fees is approx ₹6500 with mess charge of ₹2500/month.

Admissions:
It conducts it's own exam for admission to all courses.
For MBBS: AIIMS- UG is conducted once a year in online mode. Cutoff for this college is approx 145/200 (for UR).
